Chronic Pain

Chronic pain can have a significant affect on your physical and mental health. At The Athletic Room, we’re committed to treating clients with long term pain concerns. We want to help you relieve your chronic pain so you can get back to enjoying your favorite activities.

What is chronic pain?

Chronic pain is any moderate to severe body pain that you have been experiencing for an extended period of time.

According to the CDC, roughly 1 in 5 Americans experience some degree of chronic pain. It is one of the most common reasons why Americans seek medical care and it has been linked to poor perceptions of health and quality of life.

However, it doesn’t mean you have to deal with chronic pain forever. The Athletic Room Team can help.

Understanding chronic pain

  • Various conditions can cause chronic pain, including past injuries or surgeries; back issues; knee issues; arthritis; fibromyalgia; migraines and headaches; nerve damage; or infections.
  • Chronic pain can range in severity. Sometimes the pain you feel can be dull, stiff, and sore; other times it could be intense, such as sensations of burning, throbbing, or shooting.
  • Our goal at The Athletic Room is to understand what is causing your pain, the severity of it, and what would be the best path for treatment.
